Installing
Installing an RRS Rack & Pinion
will give you the equivalent steering and handling of a
2010 XR8
Simple to install no special
tools, machining or fabrication to fit & mounts in stock
location.
Uses supplied stock inner tie-rod
ends in the stock locations to assure correct alignment.
Eliminates bump steer.
3 turns lock to lock, equal
to 16.1 steering box ratio in RRS manual rack conversion
RRS Rack & Pinion conversions are 6.6 kilos lighter for
manual steering & 4.2 kilos for power steering than stock.
All RRS manual racks are the
best choice for drag racers (super lightweight and stable
at high speeds). Note: How ever, for street usage the RRS
manuals steering racks will decrease driver comfort because
of increased steering wheel resistance at low speeds.

Requirements
- All Shorty and mainstream brand TriY
headers will clear RRS rack installations.
Some long tube or custom made headers may not fit.
- RRS rack & pinion must be located in original stock steering
location i.e. original steering box and idler arm bolt holes
- Inquire for RHD or view
LHD list of suitable headers.
- Original LHD Four speed factory installation small blocks
– will experience RRS rack steering shaft interference and
will require either a hydraulic or cable conversion to be
carried out by client.
